Welcome to the 2026-27 school year at The IDEA Academy @ Cottonwood School!

We are excited to welcome back our returning families and extend a warm welcome to those joining our school community for the first time. Thank you for the incredible support and partnership you have shown us. We are looking forward to another amazing year filled with learning, growth, and memorable experiences for all of our students.

We are excited to begin this school year with a strong leadership team. Please welcome our Co-Principals, Mr. Thomas Morreale and Mr. Casey Boggs! Mr. Boggs is new to The IDEA Academy @ Cottonwood this year and previously served as Principal at Joe Walker Middle School for the past two years. In addition to serving as Co-Principal at Cottonwood, Mr. Boggs will also serve as Co-Principal at Anaverde Hills and Leona Valley Elementary Schools. Together, Mr. Morreale and Mr. Boggs are committed to supporting our students, staff, and families while continuing to build upon the strong foundation and success of our school community.

At The IDEA Academy @ Cottonwood, we believe that strong partnerships between families, students, and staff are the foundation of student success. Parents and families play an important role in their child’s educational journey, and we encourage you to stay connected, participate in school activities, and become involved in our school community. We welcome and appreciate parent volunteers, as well as your participation in organizations and committees such as the Parent Teacher Association (PTA), School Site Council (SSC), English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC), West Antelope Valley Education Foundation (WAVE), and other school and district opportunities.
